We are officially starting our sixth season on November 17th 2024\, it will run every Sunday from 4:00pm to 8:00pm until February 2nd 2025. \nIf you’ve never played before\, don’t worry! We will have someone available to help teach you\, or you can check out the rules online before you attend: https://www.disneylorcana.com/en-US/how-to-play/ \nYou do not need to pre-register\, walk-ins are more than welcome! The entry fee is $12 (plus tax)\, and includes a booster pack from Azurite Sea. \nLeague Information:\nOver the 12 week long League season\, you can earn points once a week during our Lorcana League Open Play events.\nEvery 4 weeks (which is a round) the top 3 people with the most points will earn a prize!\nAt the end of the season the 5 players with the most points will win prizes! Being number 1 gets you an extra prize. DESCRIPTION:Across the Board is proud to host regular Dungeons and Dragons sessions on Thursdays! This event is perfect for anyone who wants to try the game or just find a place to play the game regularly. \nWhat is Dungeons and Dragons? D&D is a game of unlimited possibilities! A dungeon master at the table prepares and narrates an immersive fantasy story for you and the other players to interact in\, solving puzzles\, persuading nobles\, fighting baddies\, and much more! Every time a player tries something risky\, they must roll a die to see if they succeed or not\, adding some chance to the mix. Each player role plays\, acting out their own created character\, each with their own quirks and strengths that can influence the rolls on the dice. That is why D&D is often called a role playing game. Easy rules to learn\, memories hard to forget\, come try it out at Across the Board! \nOur sessions are extremely beginner friendly as the dungeon masters would be happy to guide you through the game. We would be happy to print you a character and lend you dice if need be. Feel free to bring your own character\, though different dungeon masters may need characters of a specific level. \nOur regular $12 gaming fee does apply for this event.\n \nWe have also created a Discord Group for this event to share updates and conversation. Our experienced Dungeon Masters will run a one-night campaign tailor made for newbies. \nWhat is Dungeons and Dragons? D&D is a game of unlimited possibilities! A dungeon master at the table prepares and narrates an immersive fantasy story for you and the other players to interact in\, solving puzzles\, persuading nobles\, fighting baddies\, and much more! Every time a player tries something risky\, they must roll a die to see if they succeed or not\, adding some chance to the mix. Each player role plays\, acting out their own created character\, each with their own quirks and strengths that can influence the rolls on the dice. That is why D&D is often called a role playing game. Easy rules to learn\, memories hard to forget\, come try it out at Across the Board! \nNo need to bring any supplies. We will start by teaching you how to create a character and the basics of the game\, and lend you dice if need be. Feel free to join by yourself\, or bring a buddy or two! We do ask that you register online in advance so we have an idea of how many people will be attending. The $20 fee includes your adventure with our experienced Dungeon Master\, character creation lesson\, a small group size\, and one on one support. \nCANCELLATION POLICY: If you register and are no longer able to attend – please e-mail hilary@acrosstheboardcafe.com as space is limited. Tickets will not be refunded within 24 hours of the event. \n**Please note that our regular Thursday night sessions are also open to beginners and drop ins\, though space is very limited and is considered first come first served. DESCRIPTION:Find out if you and your team will be our next puzzle champion! \nDuring the event\, teams of 3-4 people\, will each receive the same 500 piece puzzle. On your marks\, get set\, GO! Whichever table finishes their puzzle first will be our puzzle champion team. It’s that simple! \nRegistration 6:30PM\, Race begins at 7PM \nCost per person is $50 (+tax)\,\nwhich includes:\n• the puzzle challenge itself\,\n• a FREE 1000pc Puzzle to take home for each participant.\n• access to our gaming library after the event \nYou may register as a team\, but it is not required. However\, due to the current COVID restrictions we cannot introduce customers to new groups at the moment. DESCRIPTION:Have you started playing Disney’s new trading card game; Lorcana? Bring your favourite Disney characters to life with your magical inks and the power of Lorcana! We are officially starting our sixth season on November 17th 2024\, it will run every Sunday from 4:00pm to 8:00pm until February 2nd 2025. \nIf you’ve never played before\, don’t worry! We will have someone available to help teach you\, or you can check out the rules online before you attend: https://www.disneylorcana.com/en-US/how-to-play/ \nYou do not need to pre-register\, walk-ins are more than welcome! The entry fee is $12 (plus tax)\, and includes a booster pack from Azurite Sea. \nLeague Information:\nOver the 12 week long League season\, you can earn points once a week during our Lorcana League Open Play events.\nEvery 4 weeks (which is a round) the top 3 people with the most points will earn a prize!\nAt the end of the season the 5 players with the most points will win prizes! Being number 1 gets you an extra prize. (any ties will be settled with a randomized draw)\nWe recommend bringing your own deck of 60 cards\, but you may purchase cards when you arrive and build your deck here if you prefer (we will not be providing premade decks for League sessions\, but we do have 3 starter decks available for those wanting to learn!). \nHow to earn points:\nYou can earn up to 10 points per week – only at a League sessionEach match will be decided by best of 2 casual games. DESCRIPTION:Across the Board is proud to host regular Dungeons and Dragons sessions on Thursdays! This event is perfect for anyone who wants to try the game or just find a place to play the game regularly. \nWhat is Dungeons and Dragons? D&D is a game of unlimited possibilities! A dungeon master at the table prepares and narrates an immersive fantasy story for you and the other players to interact in\, solving puzzles\, persuading nobles\, fighting baddies\, and much more! Every time a player tries something risky\, they must roll a die to see if they succeed or not\, adding some chance to the mix. Each player role plays\, acting out their own created character\, each with their own quirks and strengths that can influence the rolls on the dice. That is why D&D is often called a role playing game. Easy rules to learn\, memories hard to forget\, come try it out at Across the Board! \nOur sessions are extremely beginner friendly as the dungeon masters would be happy to guide you through the game. We would be happy to print you a character and lend you dice if need be. Feel free to bring your own character\, though different dungeon masters may need characters of a specific level. \nOur regular $12 gaming fee does apply for this event.\n \nWe have also created a Discord Group for this event to share updates and conversation.
