Each player role plays\, acting out their own created character\, each with their own quirks and strengths that can influence the rolls on the dice. That is why D&D is often called a role playing game. Easy rules to learn\, memories hard to forget\, come try it out at Across the Board! \nOur sessions are extremely beginner friendly as the dungeon masters would be happy to guide you through the game. We would be happy to print you a character and lend you dice if need be. DESCRIPTION:Come celebrate the release of Lorcana\, Disney’s new trading card game! Learn to play\, and be among the first to get your hands on this awesome new collectible game. Featuring clever strategic play\, easy to learn rules\, and beautiful artwork of your favourite characters\, this is sure to be a hit with Disney fans and card game enthusiasts alike. \nFrom 6pm to 7:30pm we will be running demos with decks from our library\, teaching players the basics of the game. You can also purchase your own starter deck and play casual games against other new players with our gaming experts on hand to help answer any questions. \nAt 7:30pm we will be running a draft tournament. Participants will open 4 packs in total\, and selecting cards from packs one at a time that they want in their deck\, passing the remaining cards on to the next player. Play will be fairly casual\, as everyone is new to the game\, but there will be prizes for the top 3 players. \nThe demo portion of the event will be free\, and the cost to join the draft will be $35. DESCRIPTION:Across the Board is proud to host regular Dungeons and Dragons sessions on Thursdays! This event is perfect for anyone who wants to try the game or just find a place to play the game regularly. \nWhat is Dungeons and Dragons? D&D is a game of unlimited possibilities! A dungeon master at the table prepares and narrates an immersive fantasy story for you and the other players to interact in\, solving puzzles\, persuading nobles\, fighting baddies\, and much more! Every time a player tries something risky\, they must roll a die to see if they succeed or not\, adding some chance to the mix. Each player role plays\, acting out their own created character\, each with their own quirks and strengths that can influence the rolls on the dice. That is why D&D is often called a role playing game. Easy rules to learn\, memories hard to forget\, come try it out at Across the Board! \nOur sessions are extremely beginner friendly as the dungeon masters would be happy to guide you through the game. We would be happy to print you a character and lend you dice if need be. Feel free to bring your own character\, though different dungeon masters may need characters of a specific level. \nOur regular $12 gaming fee does apply for this event.\n \nWe have also created a Discord Group for this event to share updates and conversation.
