DESCRIPTION:Have you started playing Disney’s new trading card game; Lorcana? Bring your favourite Disney characters to life with your magical inks and the power of Lorcana! We are officially starting our sixth season on November 17th 2024\, it will run every Sunday from 4:00pm to 8:00pm until February 2nd 2025. \nIf you’ve never played before\, don’t worry! We will have someone available to help teach you\, or you can check out the rules online before you attend: https://www.disneylorcana.com/en-US/how-to-play/ \nYou do not need to pre-register\, walk-ins are more than welcome! The entry fee is $12 (plus tax)\, and includes a booster pack from Azurite Sea. \nLeague Information:\nOver the 12 week long League season\, you can earn points once a week during our Lorcana League Open Play events.\nEvery 4 weeks (which is a round) the top 3 people with the most points will earn a prize!\nAt the end of the season the 5 players with the most points will win prizes! Being number 1 gets you an extra prize. (any ties will be settled with a randomized draw)\nWe recommend bringing your own deck of 60 cards\, but you may purchase cards when you arrive and build your deck here if you prefer (we will not be providing premade decks for League sessions\, but we do have 3 starter decks available for those wanting to learn!). \nHow to earn points:\nYou can earn up to 10 points per week – only at a League sessionEach match will be decided by best of 2 casual games. A dungeon master at the table prepares and narrates an immersive fantasy story for you and the other players to interact in\, solving puzzles\, persuading nobles\, fighting baddies\, and much more! Every time a player tries something risky\, they must roll a die to see if they succeed or not\, adding some chance to the mix. Each player role plays\, acting out their own created character\, each with their own quirks and strengths that can influence the rolls on the dice. That is why D&D is often called a role playing game. Easy rules to learn\, memories hard to forget\, come try it out at Across the Board! \nOur sessions are extremely beginner friendly as the dungeon masters would be happy to guide you through the game. We would be happy to print you a character and lend you dice if need be. DESCRIPTION:Calling all Lorcana lovers! We are running a special format called “Pack Rush!” on February 16th. Enjoy a fun night of friendly competition with your loved one!\nWalk-ins are welcome\, but we would prefer if you registered here if possible. The entry fee is $15 (plus tax)\, and includes a booster pack from Ursula’s Return and Shimmering Skies. \nThe Rules:\n \n\nEach player needs two unopened Disney Lorcana booster packs. These can be from the same set or a mix of your favorite sets.\nDetermine the first player using any method that’s convenient and comfortable for you. Examples include rolling dice\, flipping a coin\, taking turns naming Disney Princesses until someone can’t\, etc.\nOpen your booster packs. It’s best if you don’t look at the cards yet. That way the game can be a surprise for everyone.\nSet aside the marketing/puzzle cards. You’ll need them later.\nShuffle all the cards from your two booster packs together\, again taking care not to look at them. There is no rule against mixing ink types in Pack Rush— you can play with them all!\nSet your lore tracker to 0.\nDraw 5 cards for your starting hand. If you want to alter your hand\, you can do that now.\nRemember those two marketing/puzzle cards you set aside? Alakazam— they’re ink cards! Put them into your inkwell in the ready position. SUMMARY:Blood on the Clocktower
DESCRIPTION:In the quiet village of Ravenswood Bluff\, ‌a demon walks amongst you… \nDuring a hellish thunderstorm\, on the stroke of midnight\, there echoes a bone-chilling scream. The townsfolk rush to investigate and find the town storyteller murdered\, their body impaled on the hands of the clocktower\, blood dripping onto the cobblestones below. A Demon is on the loose\, murdering by night and disguised in human form by day. Some have scraps of information. Others have abilities that fight the evil or protect the innocent. But the Demon and its evil minions are spreading lies to confuse and breed suspicion. Will the good townsfolk put the puzzle together in time to execute the true demon and save themselves? Or will evil overrun this once peaceful village? \nBlood on the Clocktower is a bluffing game enjoyed by 5 to 20 players on opposing teams of Good and Evil\, overseen by a Storyteller player who conducts the action and makes crucial decisions. The goal of the game is to successfully deduce and execute the demons before they outnumber the townfolk. \nDuring a ‘day’ phase players socialize openly and whisper privately to trade knowledge or spread lies\, culminating in a player’s execution if a majority suspects them of being Evil. Of a ‘night’ time\, players close their eyes and are woken one at a time by the Storyteller to gather information\, spread mischief\, or kill. \nThe Storyteller uses the game’s intricate playing pieces to guide each game\, leaving others free to play without a table or board. Players stay in the thick of the action to the very end even if their characters are killed\, haunting Ravenswood Bluff as ghosts trying to win from beyond the grave.
